I love watching the hummingbirds outside my kitchen window. I mean it beats a plain brick wall by a long shot. Sometimes I get upset when "hummingbird wars" erupt. But I still enjoy watching them. I even have one that seems to come to the window and look at me.
Anyway, I was at the kitchen sink today
and saw a white hummingbird!
WOW!
I have never seen one like that.
WOW!!
It was cool.
WOW!!!
That, my friends, will probably be the highlight of my day.
Leucistic Hummingbird
Albinistic Hummingbird
Post Script: After spotting the white hummingbird again I searched for some information on the internet. I thought it might be an albino but the eyes weren't red and the bill appeared to be dark. So after looking that was confirmed. An albinistic hummingbird would have a more orange beak, light or red eyes, and light/transparent feet (you can see the blood veins through the skin and nails). The one visiting my feeder is a leucistic hummingbird which means that the bird has white, off-white or tan plumage but the eyes, feet, and bill have the normal pigment. I will keep my camera handy and try to get my own picture of the white hummingbird that made my day.

WOW...is right. That's amazing.
Neat, is that a picture of you holding onto another bird you caught?
